Tweaking Your Text

The text is usually the largest part of most publications, and if the text doesn’t look good, the publication doesn’t look good. Of course, you need to start by choosing a clear, easy-to-read font for your story—for example, you wouldn’t use a script font or any other fancy font because large blocks of such fonts are difficult to read. Then you can improve the overall look of your text by tweaking some subtle but important details: namely, the scaling, tracking, and kerning of the characters.
