Entering the Data

Because Excel is all about working with data, whether the items are numbers or names, you’ll need to enter the data before Excel can start working its magic. To enter your data, place one data item in each cell, arranged in the way that works best for you.

  1. Start a new workbook if you don’t already have a blank worksheet open. Save the workbook with a new file name.
