Creating Footnotes and Endnotes

Word makes it so easy to add footnotes and/or endnotes to a document! Endnotes are just like footnotes, except that endnotes appear all together at the end of a document (or the end of a section) instead of at the foot of each page. Word will number the footnotes for you in one number series and the endnotes in a different number series or format.

Whenever you add or delete a footnote or an endnote, Word automatically renumbers the appropriate series. For a footnote, Word also figures out how much space is required at the bottom of the page for the footnote, and, when a footnote is too long for the page, Word automatically continues it on the next page.
