Background Sound Loops

 

Sometimes you may find that there is a non sync sound effect you want to use at various points throughout the film. It might perhaps be a general background traffic noise or the sound of distant sea. Sound effects of this kind can sometimes be made into a continuous loop. You can loop a sound effect to make more space on the laid tracks for other sounds. But loops should be an exception rather than the rule. Wherever possible lay every sound on your various effects tracks. Sometimes, when you are working in a rush, you may find you have missed out a background sound or you may need to introduce yet another track simply for one background effect.
