Encourage With Words and Perspective
When you are striving to encourage someone else, look to words and perspective to help you.
Sometimes encouraging words might be something as simple as “hang in there” when someone is having a bad day. Other times you might need to track down a quote from an inspiring source, such as a writer, philosopher, historical figure, or spiritual icon, and put it into an e-mail. And sometimes you might just need to write down what you value about that person and send it in a card to be read again and again.
