Allow People to Save Face
In Asian culture in general, it is considered better to be silent than to point out someone’s error in front of others. This is a cardinal rule in a number of Eastern cultures. It’s called saving face, and it’s an act of respect.
In Western culture, we’re often more interested in winning, more interested in being right, more interested in showing our expertise. We’re more interested in these bragging rights than giving another some leeway to be wrong.

Observe a colleague who does not know the rule of saving face. Watch how others respond to this person.
