Be Careful With Your Opinions
Likely you’ve heard the old saying about opinions. It’s not appropriate to repeat it in this book, but most people will agree the adage is true: Everyone has one.
And sometimes it’s best to keep ours to ourselves—particularly our personal opinions. Think about it. You’ve met opinionated people, and aren’t they annoying? Flaunting their personal opinions openly as if their view is the correct view? And these people usually have an opinion about everything and everyone.
Assignment
Throughout the next week, observe those around you who freely give their personal opinions. Note how you feel about them, how your coworkers and management respond to them, and how effective they are in working with others.
