Use Kind Words
Being positive is always a bridge to good relationships. Part of being positive is using words that communicate kindness. Expressions of congratulations when due are always bridge-builders, as are expressions of condolence when sad personal events take place.
Assignment
Think about the times people have been kind to you in conversations. Start practicing the same behaviors.
When making observations about someone’s performance, use positive words. Be honest about the performance, but be kind about how you express the actions and the remedies.
When observing opinions and reacting to others’ statements, positive and kind words are always well received; rarely are negative and critical words.
