Always Show Respect
Aretha Franklin sang it clearly—R-E-S-P-E-C-T! We all want it, we all expect it, and we all deserve it. No matter who we are or what role we play in any organization, we want respect from others. Indeed, we have a right to expect it. But that means we also need to show others respect.
Assignment
Do it. Treat others the way you want to be treated, with respect. Think about it as you deal and work with others. Are you behaving as you would want them to behave?
This doesn’t mean we should ignore problems, overlook shoddy efforts, or disregard inappropriate behavior. But it does mean that we should be treating others with the same respect we would ask them to use in their dealings with us.
