As a decision maker yourself, you need to recognize others have similar responsibilities. If you want them to support your decisions, you have to be supportive of their decisions as well.

Make sure you have good relationships with other managers and decision makers in your organization and you support their decisions.

When a fellow manager makes and announces a decision, be sure to support him or her publicly and offer any assistance he or she might need in implementation. Do that visibly so others will notice. Help your colleague implement the decision.
