Almost every decision will require change in some way. And change is the natural catalyst for conflict in organizations. So expect change and expect conflict.

Now we have to discuss the nature of change. As you present change to your group, your employees, or your organization, note that change—while not always good—is usually a healthy process for all organizations. After all, if Thomas Edison had not continually changed the various filaments in his light bulbs (even after his assistants suggested he was wasting his time), we may not have electric incandescent lights today.
