Regardless of your line of work, there can be projects that are so overwhelming for your employees that they truly need help. You can wait for employees to come up for air and ask you, but if you are managing by wandering around, you are going to see and hear the problem quite easily.

Assignment

Look at the projects and performance of all of your employees. If you see any employees who have hit the wall or are about to do so, offer a positive and supportive helping hand. For future reference, take a look at the projects you are assigning to the members of your team, review their past performance on similar projects, and consider making some adjustments for those who are being constantly overwhelmed.
