Faith, Failure, and Forgiveness
Of all the burdens you will ever carry, the heaviest one is carrying a grudge. Becoming an inspirational leader means facing our fatal human flaws. Two of those human traits are the failure to recognize and admit that we make mistakes, and the struggle we face in letting go of our feelings of failure and guilt.
Assignment
When weighing mistakes, can you encourage everyone to stop, admit their mistakes, and ask themselves, “What lesson did I learn from this, and why can’t I forgive myself and move on?” Write this statement on a 3 × 5 card for occasional review.
