•   Monitor another individual’s performance (live or by video) and comment on the things that he or she did that your employee could try.

•   Arrange for real-time performance coaching from someone who performs a particular skill well.

•   Check out the latest books on the subject and note the actions that the employee might do differently.

•   Attend a workshop that focuses on the needed skills and develop action plans to integrate the new skills into the employee’s performance.

•   Observe someone (live or by video) performing the skill poorly so that you both can talk about how the skill could have been better performed.
