Prepare a writtensummary of theemployee’s work.

Note performance strengths as well as areas for improvement, and request feedback and input from others. Does the document sound like you’ve done a fair job of assessing the employee’s strengths and weaknesses? Or does it look as if you have an axe to grind? Does the feedback reflect the entire year, rather than just the past few weeks? Then write and re-write the summary until it’s perfect.
