Once your audience has arrived, you have the ultimate data, which is the people themselves. This “ultimate data” might lead you in a different direction than your original intent. If it doesn’t “wig you out” too much, do it. This is particularly true of certain jokes, illustrations, or other attempts at humor. In looking at your audience, you may think that your device (joke, illustration, etc.) might not work. This could be useful data for you. Don’t be afraid to use it.
