Make sure youpack your own“parachute.”
By “packing your own parachute,” we mean making sure that you are very familiar with all the factors that might affect your presentation. Is there music playing in the room? Are the lights dimmed? Is a lectern missing? Is one there that shouldn’t be? Will you have a microphone? Is it on a stand or clipped to your lapel? Is the battery in the lapel microphone a fresh one?
