Although many people use full-sized pages that hold their written-out presentations or speeches, some individuals prefer index cards that contain the main ideas (they fill in the rest on the basis of their memories and preparation). Full-sized pages are much more common with sermons, political speeches, or other more formal business presentations. The use of index cards is more common with less formal talks.
