Both your main ideas and your supporting ideas will take on life as you support them with data and illustrations. Your data can be statistics, anecdotes, quotations, or examples. Your illustrations can be comic strips, jokes, or stories. Just make sure these data and illustrations, whatever they are, are relevant to the point you’re making (and again, you must have at least one point!).
