In the same way that “repeaters” strengthen the signal in a signal, your supporting ideas strengthen the main idea. Their nature (humorous, serious, tragic) as well as their timing will help to strengthen your main idea and thereby reinforce your purpose. Now that you have chosen them carefully, write them down in ink—and fall in love with them.
