Most people do not share their criticism—constructive or otherwise—with the speaker. They tend to share it with each other. If someone offers you suggestions for improvement, thank them graciously and write down the improvement. Even if you don’t’ agree with it, write it down. There will be opportunities to explore it and determine what to do with it later.
