The designer Txell
Miras graduated from
a fashion design course
at the Escola Llotja in
her native Barcelona
in 2000. She completed
a master’s degree
in fashion design at
Domus Academy, Milan
in 2001. Since 2003,
Txell Miras has been
designing the women’s
line for Neil Barrett.
Txell Miras started
her own label in 2004.
With it she has won a
number of national and
international prizes
and shows every year
at Barcelona’s Pasarela
Gaudí. Her interest
in all forms of artistic
expression has led her
to experiment with
disciplines outside of
the world of fashion, like
illustration, painting,
photography, and even
writing screenplays for
short lms. Duchamp,
Bergman, Faulkner,
Kafka, and Tarkovsky
are the names she
mentions when asked
about the many
different in uences
on the design of her
collections.
