based in Vietnam for

two years now, chula is

a clothing label created

by designer Laura

Fontán and architect

Diego Cortizas. The

company’s dresses

and coats combine the

brightest colors from

the world of Spanish

design with the richness

of Asian fabrics and

manual embroidery

techniques. Each

garment is handcrafted,

and  nds exclusivity

in the color variations,

embroidery techniques,

and pattern geometry.

Collections are not

designed according

to the winter-summer

rules–if it’s winter in

New York, it’s summer

in Cape Town, isn’t

it?–they are classi ed

by theme. The label’s

limited production is

sold in boutiques around

the world including

Madrid, Barcelona,

Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur,

Kuwait, Canberra,

Luang Prabang, Graz,

and Tokyo.
