From 1995 to 2000
this young Russian
designer studied
at St. Petersburg
State University of
Technology and Design.
From the very rst
year of her studies she
created two collections
annually. As a rule
they were avant-garde
collections. Her brand
went on to become a
unique example in the
history of Russian and
world design. She has
become one of the main
Russian newsmakers
for glossies and fashion
columnists in Moscow-
Paris-Milan and other
European fashion
capitals. Akhmadullina
showed her rst seasonal
prêt-à-porter collection
during the Paris
Fashion Week in fall
2005. Since that time
she has demonstrated
a new collection on the
Paris runway every
season, breaking
stereotypes and
changing the attitude
toward Russia as a “far
from fashion” country.
