Safari has helped millions of working professionals use content from the world’s leading publishers to learn and develop the skills they need to succeed for more than a decade. We know firsthand that with easy access to the knowledge of experts, people can do remarkable things, and we love helping them.

So, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re working with O’Reilly Media to support their pledge to provide more than $100 million worth of content to tens of thousands of K-12 schools nationwide.

The pledge directly supports President Barack Obama’s ConnectED initiative, which aims to dramatically increase Internet connectivity and technology training for schools, in part with commitments from firms like Apple, Microsoft, and Sprint. But bandwidth and devices aren’t enough on their own — quality content is crucial for successful technology training, and delivering quality technical and business training content is what we do best.

This program came together very quickly, so there are a lot of details still to work out. We’ll be happy to share more on this as the program evolves. In the meantime, you can read more about ConnectED and today’s announcement here:
