We pushed an update to Safari to Go this morning, mostly for iPhone 5 and iOS 6 support, but with a few important bug fixes as well.

Make sure to get Safari To Go for iOS in the app store and check out some of our great videos in the app or on your HDTV via Airplay or the A/V adapter if you haven’t already. And, as always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions!

Here is what was included in v3.0.1:

• iPhone 5 screen size + iOS 6 compatible – App was built on iOS 6, and now scales to fit the taller screen of the iPhone 5. Although we haven’t been able to get our hands on one yet, it should also work without issue on the newly announced iPad Mini.

• Disable Screen Timeout when watching videos (+Airplay) – You can now watch full-length videos without having to adjust the device Auto-Lock settings or have to keep taping the screen to prevent a dim/timeout.

• Fixed offline bookbag timeout for SSO users – You should now be able to access the titles saved to your offline bookbag without re-authenticating through your corporate portal

Any new information on when will STG for iOS support users of academic accounts (proquest)?

      Hi John,

We are currently exploring options for providing mobile access to academic account users, and hope to communicate the details by the end of 2012.

This is great news for iOS Safari to Go users – when will there be an Android update?

We are working on a significant Android update as well, and we are working through our QA cycle now…

I can’t give any solid estimate but rest assured we didn’t forget about Android users!
