Safari Books Online celebrates 10 years of trailblazing in an industry that bet on the online content space well before it turned out to be sexy and in demand. September, 2001, was the month and year that Safari Books Online began supplying digital book content over the Internet to technical and business professionals. Originally the result of a partnership between publishers O’Reilly Media and Pearson, Safari Books Online soon branched out to other publishers to keep expanding its on demand digital library and learning resource.
Ten years later, Safari Books Online is the leading on-demand digital library with thousands of books, videos and interactive learning tools for technology, digital media, creative and business professionals.
In 2001, there were a few hundred titles in the Safari Books Online library…today there are over 16,000 books, training videos and prepublication manuscripts with content from more than 100 publishers such as Cisco Press, Prentice Hall Professional, Wrox, O’Reilly Media, Microsoft Press and Peachpit Press. Safari Books Online has spent 10 years making sure users can get the information they want in the fastest manner possible so that learning is self-directed and dynamic for each individual.
That’s our story in a nutshell. Now it’s your turn – if you don’t mind!

How it helps you in your daily work or with your projects. And, please don’t feel like you can’t offer constructive criticism because we are open to hearing that as well.
