Now that the value chain has been identified, the next step is to create a system-level map for the organization. This system-level map is a high-level graphical representation of the sequence of work as it flows through the organization. The primary interest is in the core processes or the value chain of the organization. An example of a system-level process map is shown in Figure 4-2.
