VALUE CHAIN PROCESSES

The rationale for identifying processes that make up the value chain is very simple: they serve as a strategic weapon to achieve the organization’s mission and vision by focusing on the critical business drivers. These processes frequently cut across organizational boundaries and involve numerous functional, departmental, or even divisional units. The understanding of their execution can serve to clarify inefficiencies in the organization. As a result of this understanding, the process is an end-to-end, cross-functional flow of activity.
