When the vRA user deploys a blueprint with a routed network profile, vRA sends an NSX API call to create an NSX Edge and a logical switch for every Internal interface in the NSX Edge.

From

Cover of VCP6-NV Official Cert Guide (Exam #2V0-641)

Note

This is technical incorrect. vRA just create uplink interface on DLR and Logical Switch. DLR takes care of routing. Reference: "On-Demand Routed Network (ODRTD) – Adds a dedicated interface on the upstream distributed logical router; creates a new logical switch for the router interface and machine vnics; applies IP policy as defined in the corresponding network profile."
