Just because we are testing how our changes affect the bottom line of the product doesn’t mean that we’re not making the critical design decisions. Instead of thinking of Lean design as being driven by data, you can think of it as being informed by data. Data can tell us things like what people are doing and where people are falling out of funnels, but only good research and design will tell us why that’s happening and how to fix it.
View data as a useful tool that can help you.
