Communication takes place in the relationship between two or more people, so the faster you can build relationships, the easier the communication becomes. But to make real connections, you need to see the others as people instead of as subordinates, followers, or hired guns. Or, when influencing up, you need to look beyond "the suit," the "boss," or the "VP" and see the other person in that TouchPoint. Every interaction involves human beings who have their own priorities, anxieties, hopes, and dreams.
