TIP: WSUS IIS APPLICATION POOL MEMORY

One issue the authors have seen is when the IIS application pool for the WSUS website is set to the default memory amount. With the larger number of updates in WSUS, there are more download trips from the clients, which uses a larger amount of memory from the IIS application pool. To fix this issue, the authors recommend increasing the WSUS IIS application pool memory. What you increase it to depends on the number of clients using that SUP and how many updates you are synchronizing. The default amount of memory is set to 1.8GB; the authors suggest changing this to 4GB to start and increasing by 2GB from there if problems occur. The blog post ...
