GOLDEN RULE 3

No organisation needs, wants or will pay for perfect quality data.

Note

The librarian in me is weeping, but I not only know this is true, I know this is the correct attitude. In the words of Charles Merrill, "I don't want it perfect, I want it Thursday." How many academic projects have gone nowhere because of the goal of perfect data? (And yet how many were flawed and unpreservable because speed and flash was more important than decent metadata? You need a balance.)
