Writable streams are designed to provide a mechanism to write data into a form that can easily be consumed in another area of code. Some common examples of writable streams are:

• HTTP requests, on the client

• HTTP responses, on the server

• fs write streams

• zlib streams

• crypto streams

• TCP sockets

• child process.stdin

• process.stdout, process.stderr
