Let Kids Get Their Hands, Clothes (and Even Their Rooms) Dirty

Play and learning can be messy, often literally. Fortunately, children and houses are washable. Many of the projects and adventures described in this book involved messiness. One parent described his maker child as being “mostly naked and covered in mud and paint” during his preschool years. Many adult makers, particularly those who attend Burning Man, still spend periods of time thus adorned.
