After five such requests (or actual client requests), your app starts returning HTTP status code 500, which Kubernetes will treat as a probe failure, and will thus restart the container.

If I read this correctly, The pod will not be deleted, but the container will be deleted and re-created.

This seems to be true since the pod's age increased and while restarts increased. The pod also keeps the same IP address
