In Australia you are considered to be an overseas student if you’re not an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa. Onshore students are students studying at an institution within Australia. Offshore students are students studying through the offshore campus or at an offshore partner institution (outside of Australia).
