Navigation. These puzzles involve moving one or more characters through a space, overcoming obstacles along the way. The Portal games are a classic single-player example, set in a 3D environment; the Lemmings games require the player to manage a large number of semi-autonomous creatures and make sure that enough of them make it alive to the level exit to meet the victory condition. The Lost Vikings also required navigating characters through a 2D environment by controlling them one at a time.
