If the retrospective was expected to run for an hour, the coach holds that timing for the team. With 15 minutes to go, the coach says, “The retrospective ends in 15 minutes. Should we wrap this up into a few things that you all agree to do next time?” When one hour has elapsed, the coach says, “The retrospective is over.” If team members want to continue, they may as long as all of them agree and as long as that, too, takes place inside a short timebox.
