If you follow the progression of the discussion properly, the N shell would have the potential for 32 electrons. Did someone remove a more detailed discussion about electron orbitals? I know the answer, that s and p have a higher state than d, and electron stability is established by the first 8 electrons in each shell, but just using "8" after mentioning N is a shell that holds 32 electrons leaves a huge question hanging for anyone not already familiar with electron orbitals and their energy states.
