Scrum suggests that the acceptance be performed in a single day during a demonstration of the output of the Sprint. However, this is unlikely to impress professional organizations that will want to perform proper acceptance tests before handing over the money. It is likely that LT should increase by 1 month while the acceptance test on the previous Sprint is conducted.


While the acceptance testing is taking place, the developers will have started on the next Sprint. Scrum prefers that the Sprint Backlog not be touched during a Sprint. However, it can happen. This breaks the expedite rule. This has been referred to as “following common sense” [
