Learn Your Organization’s Unique Political Culture Fast

The key word in this heading is fast. When you come on board, you are most vulnerable to the forces of organizational politics, as people are assessing where you stand, where you might land, your threat quotient, and your potential as an ally. The quicker you identify them, the better equipped you’ll be to make choices that serve you and the organization—a one-two combo that always goes hand in hand for successful influencers.
