Product
We're constantly adding new products and publishers to Safari. Here's the scoop on our latest additions.
Safari How To
We have recently launched the beta version of Safari How To, a new database that delivers step-by-step configuration and programming tutorials for IT and software-development professionals and end users. Safari How To quickly locates and delivers vetted, bite-sized, step-by-step procedures for more than 71,000 requested tasks from within thousands of Safari Books Online titles from leading publishers and authors.
Rather than sifting through pages of text to locate, for example, a procedure for creating a table in Microsoft Word or for designing an optimal SQL database schema for PHP applications, Safari subscribers can now search Safari How To's database to accomplish the task, improve their productivity and learn new skills. Listen to what one happy customer has to say about the new Safari How To service:
"The How Tos are great! In just a few minutes, I found what I had been searching web-based forums for all morning!" Andrew M. Dick, Training Specialist, Miami, FL
Safari How To launches initially with a collection of four brands (O'Reilly Media's Hack and Cookbook series, Peachpit's Visual Quick Start Guides and Sams Teach Yourself series) and will be expanded to include more brands from the Safari Library. Safari How To will also provide Safari subscribers with a new environment for saving and managing How To content and will include community features such as the ability to rate and review content.
Safari How To delivers the tutorial content that is so abundantly available in Safari's content repository and exemplifies Safari's innovative approach to developing a learning platform that goes beyond books to better serve its subscribers.
Take Control Series Added to Safari
We've recently added the Take Control series from TidBITS Publishing to Safari. Take Control titles are tightly focused electronic books covering Mac OS X, Macintosh applications, and hardware. The Take Control titles provide the Mac-related technical help you need now, and we're happy to have this excellent series as part of Safari.
SAS Publishing Added To Safari
Welcome SAS Publishing! SAS is the acknowledged leader in business intelligence software and services. We noticed that SAS-related queries were some of the most popular searches performed on Safari, so we went right to the source to get SAS Publishing on the Safari roster.
