As a professional graphic production artist with over 20yrs in the biz, I've needed to learn many computer applications. Someone in my line of work can easily spend $1000+/year on books and video training. Fortunately, Safari books has created "Creative Edge". With "Creative Edge" I'm able to spend a quarter of what I was spending annually before, and be able to access ALL of the previous books AND all the new books. Even better, I get access to rough cuts which means I'm getting the books before they even hit the store shelves. I also like that I can access the book content on my mobile devices such as my iPod Touch, laptop, as well as my desktop when I'm in the office. The best part is that all content is available in the cloud via any browser at anytime. The way Creative Edge works is very flexible. You can search by content using keywords or by choosing the subject, product or brand. You can also create favorites and bookmarks for a fast return to your reading material the next time you return to the site. The search tool is very effective in that you can search full-text to narrow down your topics and even exclude material of previous versions. Once you have chosen a book to review, the presentation of the material is very efficient. In fact it's better than having the printed book in front of you. Given that Creative Edge has only been around for less a year, it's a very robust site.
