Active Directory

Installs Active Directory on your server (starts the Active Directory Installation Wizard) or manages Active Directory if it is already installed. (Clicking the Manage link simply opens the Active Directory Users and Computers console.)

File Server

Runs a wizard to share a folder or opens Computer Management to do it manually.

Print Server

Adds a printer by running the Add Printer Wizard or manages existing printers in the Printers folder.

Web Server

Installs IIS and creates virtual directories or installs Windows Media Services.

Networking

Opens the Network and Dial-up Connections folder or installs DHCP, DNS, Remote Access, or Routing.

Application Server

Installs and configures Component Services or Terminal Services.

Advanced

Installs Message Queuing, the Windows 2000 Support Tools, and so on.

Notes

The Windows 2000 Support tools are a subset of the tools and utilities included in the Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit.
