Synopsis
step [count]Run the next statement. This differs from the next command in that if the next
statement is a function call, step steps into it and continues
single-stepping in the called function. However, next calls the function without stepping
into it. With a count, step through
count statements. In any case, execution
stops upon reaching a breakpoint or receipt of a signal. See also
