Name
pathchk
Synopsis
pathchk [-p] pathnames
Check pathnames. This command verifies that the file(s)
named by pathnames do not violate any
constraints of the underlying filesystem (such as a name that
might be too long), and that the files could be accessed (e.g., if
an intermediate directory lacks search permission, it is a
problem). The -p
option provides additional
portability checks for the pathnames.
GNU/Linux provides --portability
as another name
for -p
.
