Answer questions

The people you follow on Twitter may wonder where to find the best espresso in Rome, or how to train their cats from jumping up on the counters or whether PowerPoint slides can be displayed in portrait orientation. If you know the answers, don't hesitate to respond with a friendly @reply.

If you want to amp up your answering, keep an eye on http://search.twitter.com for keywords in questions you might be able to answer. (As we explain in Chapter 2, Twitter's advanced search lets you look for people asking questions.) For instance, if you're a motorcycle mechanic, you might run searches for questions containing "Harley," "Yamaha" and perhaps "broken." Though you have to use judgment about approaching strangers, providing good info on Twitter can help you develop a positive reputation.
