Familiarity with the IDA workspace will greatly enhance your experience with IDA. Reverse engineering binary code is difficult enough without having to struggle with your tools. The options that you choose during the initial loading phase and the subsequent autoanalysis performed by IDA set the stage for all of the analysis that you will do later. At this point you may be content with the work that IDA has accomplished on your behalf, and for simple binaries, autoanalysis may be all that you need.
